Although I've not had the opportunity to see the original story, the character description of the professor is surely intriguing. He seems like an eccentric and considering the details paid to the nuances of his overall personality, I think I can safely conclude that this is indeed a well developed character. My reading taste buds have been activated and I'm looking forward to the series. It's also commendable how @karthasisdrill has taken interest developing this work with you.
