Matchnet Changes The Game

UPDATE 15/03 Matchnet will no longer be launching on WINk please visit Matchnet.io to read their updated roadmap

Matchnet will be the fourth DApp to launch on Wink and promises to add some exciting new twists to the current suite of games. We spoke to Matchnet to find out a bit more detail about the DApp and what they have planned.

Hi Max/Steve, the updated WINk roadmap released last month and everyone in the community was excited to see that you’ll be launching before the end of March. It seems like a long time since you first announced in the WINk telegram group back in October.

How’s the integration coming along?

Matchnet: Great thanks! We're really excited about having WINk become our first channel operator and utilizing our technology to advance the Tron & WINk vision of creating a major decentralized gaming ecosystem on the Blockchain.

A lots been talked about the DApp in the Telegram group but for our readers who aren’t on Telegram can you give us an overview of Matchnet?

Matchnet: Yes of course. It's a truly innovative Patented Blockchain Gaming Platform empowering developers to utilize the full potential of Blockchain without having to understand or learn it. MatchNet will allow normally single player stand alone games to enter into a competitive gaming platform which shares its daily revenue with the users and game developers.

MatchNet shares its daily revenue by allowing users to mine MATCH as they game on the platform and then distributing it based on how much each user holds.

Matchnet

How long have you been working on the project and how did the idea first come about?

Matchnet: MatchNet's been an ongoing project for a number of years, it's really a collection of ideas and experiences from our own careers which encompasses not only the MatchNet Game Engine, but also Sports, Advertising, and Spending.

We've been pioneers in the Mobile Gaming industry and developed some of the worlds first Real-Time Multiplayer Games over 3G networks. Working with brands and publishers such as THQ, Disney Mobile, Taito, Discovery, Freefall Associates and integrating our servers into Mobile Carriers worldwide has given us a unique insight.

This experience coupled with the advancement of Blockchain Technology has allowed us to bring together Gaming, Sports and Advertising while using the best elements of Blockchain. This is a natural evolution that hasn’t existed before in a way that benefits all stakeholders: Game Developers, Sports Fans, Sports Teams/Leagues, Sponsors/Advertisers, Blockchain Community.

What makes Matchnet stand out from the current suite of DApps on WINk?

Matchnet: It's the only Skill Focused gaming platform where users can make wagers against other users to win TRX.

It's a gaming engine that is platform agnostic and can host any game, on any platform using our API's and SDK.

Game developers will be able to monetize their games in entirely new ways as well as expanding their user-base.

More importantly, MatchNet is the exclusive gaming engine for LoyaltyCo as a sports loyalty platform which targets the Mass Market.

Another unique feature is that when the MATCH token is completely mined (120,000,000 MATCH total supply mined) the users will have the ability to select which active LoyaltyCo revenue sharing token they would like to mine. The ability to accumulate sharing tokens will never end for MATCH holders.

Skill Challenges on Matchnet

From a practical point of view how will the PVP games work?

Matchnet: Here’s the process for creating a challenge:

⦁ User chooses game for the challenge
⦁ User chooses entry fee per player joining or per turn played
⦁ User selects number of seats for challenge
⦁ User plays their turn and waits for others to complete theirs (or they can play again)
⦁ Winner takes home the bacon (less rake to the MATCH pool)

This is just for the initial release, future development will include auto-matchup, a quick mode for auto matching two users together. There’s also the live-tile, one click table interface we have been exploring. We are always looking for better ways to present Flow and UI/UX.

You’ve mentioned branded tournaments, how will these work?

Matchnet: We made tournaments in a way that they can be sponsored by brands. Say “Adidas” as an example wants to sponsor a tournament to be deployed in a sports stadium shown on the JumboTron or just on their own social media. They can upload their banners, give away their own products as prizes, choose whichever game or genre they want as well as other variables, then publish the tournament all done quickly, easily, and remotely on their end.

Matchnet

It’s a win-win for the sponsor who gets the awareness that they want, players get rewarded with prizes for interacting with the brand, and MATCH holders who always get their share of the revenue.

Winner Takes All

Can you tell us any more about the patents that Matchnet has?

Matchnet: Patents were written up in 2014, with the first patent granted in 2018. This covers the gaming engine itself which are the API’s that allow games to work with tournaments/challenges for 2 or more users to play against each other for any type of currency (fiat, virtual or crypto).

The second Patent (pending) covers more of the advertising side of the platform which will be rolled out in the sports world environment.

Having written Patents years ago and especially having one granted really demonstrates our level of forward thinking, dedication and commitment to this project. I don’t think any other Gaming Dapp has patents granted and very few crypto companies.

What games will be available on launch?

Matchnet: To start, we have selected a mixed genre of 10 skilled games to demonstrate the ability of the MatchNet platform along with 1 luck game (for ease of mining). Our goal is to host games that cater to all users niche, but keep in mind it’s our first rollout and we will be able to add dozens of more games moving forward.

A lot of the games on Live require VPNs to use, will this be the same with Matchnet or will it be like Dice and open for anyone?

Matchnet: We don’t believe skilled games require VPN of any sort but we intend to remain in compliance with all local laws.

Do you have a confirmed name for the token yet and can you give us any more information on the tokenomics?

Matchnet: “MATCH” Token. Looking at similar tokenomics as ANTE which was very popular and worked well in our eyes (mining difficulty is higher but token supply is significantly lower). This allows for a higher value token which is more respected in users eyes with less dilution across the board.

MATCHNET

It's been mentioned that Matchnet will be on WINk but will it also be live on its own website?

Matchnet: Yes, WINk will choose from whatever MatchNet games they want on WINk. WINk can also bring their own games to the table from other game developers to drop in. Games can continuously be added to the platform, the same way you see new slots being added to LIVE.

We will also have our own site that will contain the complete selection of our games and products.

There’s been a lot of excitement about phase 2 the loyalty app. What exactly is the loyalty app and when do you estimate it will launch?

Matchnet: Loyalty app is our ultimate go-to market solution. It will either be in the form of a PWA (Progressive Web App, which is becoming increasingly popular) or Native Mobile application such as APK on App Store.

Loyalty app contains a whole suite of loyalty tools that sports teams and leagues need to incentivize and engage with their fans. Loyalty app can be easily customized for each team, so users can pick their flavor. Inside the app are various sections that include: Sports content around the team/league, a play section which contains MatchNet games, tournaments & challenges, a wallet section with option of adding a Club branded Loyalty Visa card, an earn section where users can interact with sponsors and get rewarded and a profile section.

Ultimately everything revolves around Loyalty Points which is USDT-TRC20 (crypto undercover).

Matchnet

Ultimately everything revolves around Loyalty Points which is USDT-TRC20 (crypto undercover). Users earn Rewards Back (currently known as Drops) that go straight to their wallet based on how many tokens they have mined or cashback earned from using Loyalty card or interacting with sponsors. Users can spend their loyalty points via the Debit Visa card wherever visa is accepted, redeem them in app for discounted products or keep playing games with them. We have a partner that is providing the backend for this financial part of the platform as well as a Fiat on/off ramp.

The goal of LoyaltyCo is to create a rewards sharing ecosystem where all parties involved benefit.

Matchnet

The goal of LoyaltyCo is to create a rewards sharing ecosystem where all parties involved benefit. The fans and users want rewards and perks - advertisers, sponsors, and sports leagues want engagement and data. LoyaltyCo aims to be the medium that creates a passive income of what all involved parties want, for exactlywhat they are willing to part with.

Another blockchain project Socios launched recently with tokens for football teams. How does this compare to Matchnet.

Matchnet: Socios is a platform that allows its users to vote on different aspects of a clubs ecosystem and it makes sense that they launched with FC Barcelona as that club is owned by a group of people called “the socios.”

MatchNet is a gaming platform and its sister company, LoyaltyCo will be the mass market sports platform that utilizes MatchNet Game Engine. LoyaltyCo and Socios do not compete against each other, however LoyaltyCo does have the same voting capabilities along with so much more that Socios does not offer. While Socios is a fan-influence based voting token as its main purpose, LoyaltyCo is a rewards program and so much more as a it will reward sport fans for their engagement in all aspects with the LoyaltyCo platform and Sports while sharing the revenue that it generates with users daily.

Which sports /leagues are you planning on targeting first?

Matchnet: We have several options of clubs in multiple countries we can launch with however, North America is a very valuable target market for us with the highest Fan ARPU (average rev per user). We will be selecting a club based on the potential major partner we are planning to launch with for our Crypto Demo Day in Sports, which we are hoping to Announce in the near future.

Thanks for talking with us, I know you’re super busy. Good luck with the integration and I look forward to playing you on a PVP game after launch!

Matchnet: Thank you, Let’s do that PvP Match!
