The Rock Restaurant, Zanzibar
The Rock Restaurant In Zanzibar has an exceptional and picturesque location – on top of a sea-rock not far from Michamvi beach (just a fifteen minutes drive from Paje). This romantic location and the panoramic ocean view to top with a fine menu of fresh seafood makes this restaurant a must on any bucket list. The restaurant has only 12 tables (Upside is that the service is fast and friendly, Down side – it is advisable to book ahead. The restaurant is by far not the cheapest but the experience makes it worth the while. As mentioned above – the restaurant sits on top of a Sea-rock which is actually an itsy-bitsy tidal island (It becomes an Island only during High tide) which will make you take a very brief boat ride, during low tide you can just walk to the Rock as seen in the photos below.
