Life as a Malaysian Actor: Taiping, Sepetang

Is glad that I have this opportunity to work together with the local, China and Hong Kong actors! Just within these 2 days, I experience a lot a lot of things over here. Able to observe how the overseas actor perform, get to know one actor actually needs more than two P.A (they got 3!), witness senior actor volunteer to sleep on the bench and rejected crews offer to rest in the air-con luxury car, witness how crazy the director can be when he moodswings...

This job is really tough. Especially need to travel by my own and drive for almost 4.5 hours with less than 3 hours sleep! This will be the first time I almost fall asleep in front of the camera too! Thank God that I cover it petty well, which nobody notice me sleeping. Successfully withstand the heavy eyelid to close and finish shooting within schedule!

You have no idea how happy I am when I heard director shouting "WRAP UP". When everybody planning what to do at night, my mind only thinking about my bed. Yeah, I slept right after my early dinner (around 6pm) and took a 12 hours sleep! The next day, turn back to hero once again.

Overall, I'm playing a small role in this project, but I am happy that I am here. Such a wonderful experience in Taiping, Sepetang. Hope that more and more of these will come again in the future. I just can't wait for that.

In this town, most of the people here earn their living by becoming a full time fisherman. Each of them have their own colorful fishing boats with specific "boat numbers".

Other than a restaurant, they actually own a fishing boat and take care of their own seafood supply too.

Be able to capture this wonderful landscape from the second floor of the restaurant. Stunning...
