A quick update on where I am with this project:
Have been trying to sort out all the names to add to the whitelist, as not all the witness servers are under the witness name.
So to make sure this service covers everyone effectively I have been trying to make sure that all bases are covered prior to letting it do it's thing.
A logical, systematic, methodological approach, rather than what we have seen too many a time where things get let out to the public and then need 101 bug fixes.
Likewise @nnnarvaez is helping to ensure that there are no more bugs in the original "communitybot" that was used to get this happening. Yes, yet again, a code that is "public" is anything but public as it literally needs to be debugged and made effective! Funny how that is the case, especially when we know for a fact that some individuals are using it without any issues! Kind of defeats the purpose of making it available to the "public" (public being all of US).
The bot is working and upvoting all the active witnesses on our blockchain, so this adds another possibility for @witnesspage to expand its services to the public. Won't go into that until later on, after we get all the administrative things taken care of first.
No, rather than dwell on the things that are not so positive, I have put together a list of additional names to add to the whitelist:
@followbtcnews = includes also @crimsonclad
@sircork = includes also @rhondak
I'm not sure if there are any other team witnesses out there who would need the team members user account names added to the whitelist.
Likewise if there are any other witness servers that are for a user by a different name, please forward me a message or just leave a comment below.
It's not like I'm a dentist who is pulling teeth or anything, although at times it does feel like it, as why else would it be so difficult to get some basic information that is in the best interest of everyone, especially for the person running the witness server.
Anyway, that is a basic run down on where I am with this and I refuse to let it rip prior to having all the details down pat and fully defined so that all our witnesses get represented fairly and equally.
I think I have covered all the important things that I need to relay to everyone in the essence of transparency and ensuring that all the information reguarding @witnesspage is made open and known to everyone.
I'm in no rush to make this happen and I would much rather, as you gathered make it happen with all the bases covered.
What I plan on doing is to make a few posts with access to as many of the earlier witness posts by witnesses, for this I shall use @timcliff 's hard work as a reliable source of information which is all up to date.
