See Just How Massive An #introduceyourself Post Can Turn Out. (Kindly Share To Newbies That You Know) etc

#untalented has two contests that are ever-green i.e no deadline.

One reason we started the #untalented curriculum with the above formats of thought-provoking/soul-search/self-development contests, is to playfully-obliviously take us back to how it all began and even back a bit, to 'life before steemit'. Too, so that newer steemians can spot #untalented from day one and instantly feel at home.

It happened with @steemgigs.

i.e newer steemians get on steemit on day-one and didn't know where to start but found out that "everyone has something to offer" and they started out building visions out-rightly, with their very first post, while instantly starting to explore all uses for the steem blockchain, thus, understanding the full beauty of steemit; knowledge that could easily take days, months or never (in rarest cases).

#untalented is a branch of steemgigs.

For instance, newer steemians who just arrived, may not know that they may have to introduce themselves and when they eventually figure this out, they may worry about how good they are as they find themselves in the midst of reputable great minds and these worries may deter them from starting altogether.

#untalented took all this into cognizance during its creation, hence, it has become a good way to direct these new ones, into doing the best of introductory posts.

Really How Powerful Is An Introductory Post?

To understand the answer to this question, you need some history!

In the past, before several hard-forks occurred, to fix these issues, there are people who got on steemit and usurped money before they could be stopped.

At the time, post payouts was after 24 hours.

Basically, someone would come onto steemit, do a top-notch #introduceyourself post, perhaps, impersonate someone and get so much earning on his post. Then, post pays out after 24 hours and he cashes out, even rich.

Note, that some people made thousands of dollars on an introductory post but my point here is:

Yes, a top-notch introductory post can set the pace for your success on steemit, even from day one!

Now, quickly notice something from this same history, that will abate your fears about steemit crashing due to DDOS attacks etc:

The steemit community, witnesses etc came together and decided on ways to avoid such scenarios like happened above and then came a hard fork, that turned posts payouts into a 7 day duration.

Now, if anyone comes in as an impersonator etc, there will be 7 days within the steemit community can stop such one and a life example of that happened after the hardfork; where another #introduceyourself post, earned hundreds of dollars but was found out and down-voted till zero, before payout.

Hey there; "yet another #introduceyourself post!"

Now Let's Go To The Logical Good Part

Sometimes, that simple looking #introduceyourself post, can be the difference between instant steemit success and spending ages to succeed.

Yes, i will go to the past again/let's should stick to now:

There are people who join steemit and hit it running from day one, on their very first #introduceyourself post and it doesn't stop there; it keeps on afterwards!

Let apply little logic just below and "you" tell me if that can happen or not:

Announcing your presence!

Yes, you can shake steemit with your presence from day-one. I tell the girls, "catwalk that walk, let the room halt because your presence filled it"; this is a hefty, weighty, priceless sentence and boy or girl, it applies everywhere and even on steemit!

Look at this scenario:

Yes, if i was a busy steemian (whale, minnow, dolphin etc) and i am met with YOU, in your #introduceyourself post and i am instantly told of a fully-defined, unshaken, deeply-rooted person, whose very presence and substance speaks law, medicine, awesomeness, ICE-CREAM, positivity etc or let's keep it ICE-CREAM (assuming i love ice-cream like crazy but i have not had it in a decade because, the sun in my zone is too hot and the refrigerators keep lose their cool); assuming i was a busy steemian (whale, minnow, dolphin etc) and i am met with a new steemian's INTRODUCTORY POST,  i am instantly told of a fully defined, unshaken, deeply-rooted person, whose very presence and substance speaks "ICE-CREAM", e.g the person says this really loud in the post:

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Each day, I will tell you about ICE-CREAM like crazy!

Plus a selfie of her/him licking an ICE-CREAM while walking on rope, acrossing two opposite skyscrapers, in a steemit shirt.

Won't i vote on this person from day-one and on to day-infinity? Won't you?

Grasp?

There are a ton of testimonials to this but i don't mention names because i don't and because that wasn't my point. My point is/was:

If you are entering a new place and you have one shot; "one post", why not just make your entry big?

It is really easy and i will tell you how! Simply visit this post below, if you are new to steemit and you haven't done your INTRODUCTORY POST yet:

Then, read through it and possibly the comments too!

After you have done so, write a post telling us "who you are"; using at least these 2 hashtags: #introduceyourself & #untalented

However for your Introductory post, make #introduceyourself the first tag!

Then insert as many images as you want of yourself but add one that is a selfie of you, verifying yourself as real or an existing human. "You can afford to be #untalented and inventive when doing this as your aim is to be extraordinarily YOU".

Your verification doesn't necessarily have to be a selfie! It can also simply be links to your other social media accounts or even a video of you.

Read this:

https://www.steemithelp.net/#/verification/

Is Verification Compulsory?

Not in every case as there is also a privacy paradigm, dented into the model of the steem blockchain and some join steemit mainly for anonymity. For steemians, who want to maintain anonymity, you can still get verified here:

https://www.steemverify.com/

However, if you are one who come to steemit, with the freedom/choice to display YOU, then why not just complete your #introduceyourself post with a verification.

If you were invited onto steemit, just mentioning how you found steemit and who invited you can serve as a form of verification too!

Your inviter (especially a renown steemian) may get notified and come vouch for you in the comments.

Overall, no one will police you as you do have the right to privacy but how about hitting steemit running, with many steemians connecting with you fully (on your very first post) because you are YOU and it is evident and you captured their heart and pulled them all in? This is very much possible!

Ultimately when the act is free, requires just a little extra effort yet creates great infinite potential, why not complete the act bigtime and leave it out there?

Yes, much later in the future, a person (steemian) may want to give you a giant opportunity and in making this decision, he/she may want to give you an understudy and re-source out your #introduceyourself post.

e.g i haven't seen my #introduceyourself post in ages but recently, several steemians looked for it, left a comment and i found it and read it again. See:

By adding some form of verification to you #introduceyourself post, you remove any form of reluctance on the part of a curators who find your post and give them freedom to vote freely. Remember that more veteran curators also have a reputation to guard e.g @curie curators, may have their curation score take a hit, by submitting a post that got unapproved.

Too, curators would relish that none of their daily upvoted posts was visited on and disapproved by @steemcleaners

Curation is also a very important aspect of the steemit ecosystem!

In my regular curation, i have found many new steemians seeking how to start on steemit and an #introduceyourself just after reading UNTALENTED 1.0 "WHO ARE YOU?" is a very good place to start.

Hahaha, i didn't know where to start when i joined steemit, thus, my #introduceyourself post came weeks later

e.g of what i have been saying

@jon24jon24 has brought several people on steemit recently, from the Philippines and he has had some of them start their steemit journey after reading UNTALENTED 1.0 "WHO ARE YOU?" and the resulting #introduceyourself post have come

Please consider sharing this post to as many new friends that you bring on steemit as it is always nice that they are treated to a home on steemit from day 1 and #untalented family is an instant home.

3. Visit https://steemitstage.com; a sandbox used by @steemitdev to test features before they are decided upon as to whether to be implemented on steemit. It is super fast and works smoothly and using the interface will give them data to work with, in relation to improving steemit.com

Too, just yesterday, the interface below was tried out on steemitstage:

The interface has been reverted to how steemit looks!

Ultimately, my point is: judging from the action of the community and steemit INC's response to community as have been evident by hardforks and as shown in the little history at the onset of this post and even more recently, there is evidence that there has been movement; "progress".

Let's go!
