WISLEY MAY GO? NEVER!

Today I saw on the BBC that the Highways Agency (they look after all our roads) is planning to run a new highway right through the middle of this beautiful and historic establishment!

There have been many protests and not only from horticulturalists, and one of our venerable TV gardeners was filmed hugging a large Redwood tree that would go, among many other priceless species of plant. Flora and fauna was never so good as here.

It makes me want to chain myself to a tree to protest, but I shan't, I shall write about it and send letters as this must not happen. O.K. so one of the main arteries in the road system is overcrowded - there are too many cars! Why can't they build a bridge or tunnel or expand the road at some other point?

Protest if you will as this is one of the loveliest, and therefore oxygen giving places in our land, not the only one, there are many admittedly, but the British Isles, who post Brexit will be a little isolated island all over again, we have to make sure it stays green.

I would appreciate a vote on this, as it will kick start a protest that may overcome the silly decision making that happens when people are too lazy to protest at all. JV
