May be you a buy laptop with a genuine Windows operating system. Now for some reason you want to reinstall your operating.If so you will have to put your licence or product key at the time of installing your OS again. So it is really important to make sure you have your own product key before getting a fresh install. Otherwise you won’t get your genuine Windows back in any way. If you don't know the proper way how to find it then you may think that it is a daunting task. Because there is no sticker of your product licence key adhered in your laptop. Again you cannot find it anywhere in the system settings. Sometimes I wonder why Microsoft give so much effort to hide their product key where it is already there stored in the registry or may be it is for our own good as other people can't steal your product key while you let him or her using your pc.
Though there are several ways to reveal the product key but here I am going to tell you the easiest way to do that. By using a third party utility called Produkey you can do it in the twinkling of an eye. Go to the link and download file as shown in picture below.
After extracting the zip file you can see three separate files as shown in the picture below. Then open the highlighted application file.
Now select your Windows product key and copy it from the edit menu and of course save in a safe place to use later.
