We had a fantastic weekend, which was focused on celebrating Kendra’s 1st birthday! Here is the birthday girl!
On Saturday, we spent the day getting ready for the big party on Sunday. Since the party was at our house, we had lots to do - cleaning, cooking, decorating, etc. I did some things to get ready with the kids outside, while my wife cooked most of the day inside. It was good teamwork, but an exhausting day! Here is 40 balloons I blew up in preparation:
Sunday was Kendra’s big party. We had about 40 adults and 20 kids there - it was a great time! There were bubbles, a sand table, different toys for the kids to play with, and Kendra had a “smash cake”, which was a cake shaped like a cupcake (we knew it was going to be mess so we through her in the bathtub for a brief wash down in the middle of the party!). People were overly generous, and she had a ridiculous amount of presents to open... I think I need a bigger house now! Here are a few pictures from the party:
