This week's walk is from a seaside village (Marsalforn) walking from the village towards the capital Victoria on the island of Gozo.
I particularly like this walk as there are a lot of trees. If you live in some countries you may feel this is a strange thing to say, but here there is a constant fight to stop trees being cut down for new roads or buildings.
So thanks to Tattoodjay for #wednesdaywalk.
The walk starts from the car park either along an old path to the right of the flood control stream or to the left along a new concrete road. I chose the dusty old path.
On the right a small field and some tomatoes growing in it.
I can't imagine why most people use the road, it's white and blinding in the sun. this path is much nicer.
The next few images are of the fauna
To the right is our statue on top of the hill. Over the years the statue has been replaced several times due to lightning strikes and fire.
A little more path and fauna
Now we cross over the drainage to join the new road for a while.
This is the drainage, quite small but we are a very small island. We walk under the arches ahead.
This is the entry to a quarry as far as I can tell. I suspect it is finished with quarrying and now just cuts stone.
And now we join the main road and catch the bus home because it is over 30 degrees Celcius and I forgot to bring a hat.
I do have more photographs but some decided they would not load. So that would seem the end of #wednesdaywalk for this week.
