Today I was watching a video online where someone was talking about a technology for producing electricity from ocean waves. We all know how powerful the ocean waves are. Making use of those waves and tides and creating energy from that is something that is a powerful method if we do it right. Also, if we do it the right way, we should also be able to get the power required without any cost and also unlimited as long as waves and tides are present in the ocean, with a small amount of maintenance. I saw [this article](https://interestingengineering.com/innovation/floating-device-generate-power-waves) and the idea is pretty much the same. Today, when I watched that video, they said the same spine-like structure that will be pushing water through one tunnel at high pressure, and that will help in rotating the turbine to generate the electricity that is required. Some are working fine in many places, and some need more experimentation and may not be suitable for mass implementation. Another advantage of these systems is that it not only helps humans by producing energy with ocean power, but it also acts as a home for many species, and many sea creatures will gradually start making this their new home. Whatever the technology, it all ultimately comes to rotating the turbines. If all these new technologies take off, I think we should be able to eliminate the burning of fossil fuels for producing electricity.
