welcome to my belated Walk Wednesday at the Zoo
The first thing you see when entering is the otter exhibit and it is one of the funnest when the otters are about.
As you get closer you see this tube. It is for kids to crawl into and it takes them into the otter pond.
This is the viewing area next to the tube
Here is the second viewing area with the tube running through.
If you are lucky you will get to see this =P
Excuse the poor quality, shooting through thick Plexiglas in poor light with no flash.
They like to play around that tube and seem to interact with kids in the tube. Almost crawled in myself. lol
to the right of the otters is the memorial for Bill the Chimp.
The Zoo doesn't keep large primates any longer but the do have a few smaller primates across from Bill's memorial. I didn't picture here as they are not out(cold and foggy).
The Birdhouse that has been there since before I was a kid...... means it's old O.o
To the left of the otters are most of thee trails through the rest of the zoo.
One of the two aviaries here at the Zoo
Looking Back to the entrance, the zoo is bigger than it first appears(approx. 9 acres).
As we near the south end we can see the approach to the Red Panda enclosure. One of the stars of the zoo
If your lucky you'll get to see the Red Pandas, I was as it is feeding time for them and the are running around waiting for the grub.
Well it's time for me to make my way out of the zoo, it will be closing soon.
Hope you all enjoyed my walkwednesday this week.
