Canadian Forces Moose Milk Cocktail

Welcome, cocktail enthusiasts! Inspired by the festive spirit and history of the Canadian Forces, today we're crafting a true Canadian delicacy – the Moose Milk Cocktail. This creamy beverage is a staple at New Year's Day levies, where it delivers comfort, celebration and a connection to Canadian tradition. Thanks to Booze On The Rocks, we have a single-serving version of this indulgent treat that you can enjoy without the need for an army-sized gathering. So, let's get mixing!

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) Tito’s Handmade Vodka

- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Kahlúa (Coffee Liqueur)

- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Fortress Rum (or any preferred dark rum)

- 4 oz (120 ml) vanilla ice cream (about two scoops)

- 4 oz (120 ml) homogenized milk (3% milk fat)

- Ice for blending (optional)

- Nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish (optional)

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Equipment: Blender, Measuring jigger, Serving glass

Servings: 1

Instructions:

1. In a blender, start by pouring 1 1/2 ounces of Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

2. Add 1/2 ounce of Kahlúa to introduce a delicate coffee flavor.

3. Pour in 1/2 ounce of Fortress Rum for that rich, warming rum essence.

4. Scoop about 4 ounces (or two scoops) of creamy vanilla ice cream into the blender. Select a high-quality ice cream for the best results.

5. Measure and pour 4 ounces of homogenized milk into the blender to add silkiness to your cocktail.

6. Secure the lid on your blender and blend the ingredients until smooth. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you may add some ice, but this is optional.

7. Once blended to your desired texture, pour the mixture into a festive glass. You may select a glass that fits the mood of your gathering.

8. Garnish with a light dusting of nutmeg or cinnamon if desired, for an extra touch of holiday flavor.

9. Serve immediately, and enjoy the rich, creamy goodness of your very own Canadian Forces Moose Milk!

Cooking Tips:

- If the mixture is too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding a little more milk.

- For an alternative presentation, you could serve the Moose Milk Cocktail over ice in a highball glass.

- If you don't have vanilla ice cream, try substituting with a splash of vanilla extract and additional milk to maintain creaminess.
