- 8 g (0.28 oz) vanilla sugar

- 150 g (5.29 oz) flour

- 10 g (2 tsp) baking powder

- 100 g (3.53 oz) melted butter

- 3 apples, peeled and cut into 3 cm pieces

- 3 tablespoons sugar (for topping)

- Cinnamon (to taste, for topping)

Equipment:

- Baking pan

- Parchment paper

- Mixer

- Oven

- Plate (for turning the cake)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 35 minutes (plus an additional 3 minutes under the grill function)

Total Time: 48 minutes

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).

2. Line your baking pan with parchment paper and grease it well to ensure the cake doesn't stick.

3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they become foamy.

4. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar to the eggs while continuing to beat, to create a light and fluffy base.

5. Sift in the flour and baking powder and fold the mixture gently to maintain the airiness.

6. Pour the melted butter into the batter and fold until everything is well combined.

7. Arrange the apple pieces at the bottom of your prepared baking pan.

8. Pour the cake batter over the apples, spreading it evenly.

9. Sprinkle the additional 3 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon on top of the batter.

10. Bake the cake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

11. Remove the cake from the oven and run a knife along the edges to detach it from the pan.

12. Turn the cake out onto a plate, then place it back on the pan, with the sugared side up.

13. Put the cake back in the oven and set it to the grill function for an additional 3 minutes to achieve a lovely golden crust.

14. Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your sumptuous Golden Crust Apple Tea Cake with a hot beverage or as a delightful dessert.

Cooking Tips:

- If you do not have vanilla sugar, you can use 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract as a substitute.

- Ensure the eggs are at room temperature to achieve the fluffiest texture.

- The grill function at the end of baking is what creates the golden crust. Keep a close eye on the cake during this step to prevent burning.
