#VoiceAgainstSexualAbuse : Voices That Are More Than Just "Voices"

The rate is insanely alarming
The waters are scarily turbulent
Scared of the ever dark
Unheard in their drowns.
Not scared they think
Yet every second they die
Not of hurts just physical
But of pains needles can't heal
Nor pills fix.

Shattering heart one moment plentiful
It takes just one incident for them to die
In a world they were clawed into
It takes a tiny-winy-minute minute
Yet the scars are forever alive, breathing.

"I was just 7" he said,
"I wasn't 8" she sobbed
"It was served constantly like a meal" she gasped
"I couldn't scream for I was knocked unconscious"
Slapped, threatened, pressed, molested, raped
"I became a mother at 13, left alone" another said
"I still can't pick up the pieces" she mourned
"Dealing with HIV since then" the other brokenly said
"I tried taking my life severally"!!. she whispered faintly
"She died many times until she took her own life"-
a mother tearfully wrote.

Stories Untold
Questions unanswered
Minds unhealed
Left to die in shadows
"Where did I go wrong?"-
constantly rung in their heads
Traumas, hate, anger,
Fears, tears, anguish
and a lot more.

Never the same.
I am never the same!!.
This is the story of her,
of him,
Of you too?
Of me too?
of who?
Die in my Silence?
No!
Yes!!
No!!!
The End?

Its not a new thing, neither is it acceptable!. It repeats itself over and over and over again, it does repeat more. A vicious cycle, a real one.

The scars never really vanishes, Scars have become fleshly-visible wounds for many. The narrative-styled poem above is breathed by actual events, stories from close pals who were victims and it gets really uglier than that. Far more Uglier.

In the light of all these, we can not only hope but also STAND up for them all. The Images shared in this post were freely sent to me by a friend to be used. These are not just images, but pictures of people within an initiative that are in their own way trying to change the system for the better and help victims.

I followed them up too and also got a few copy of the book "Beyond The Abuse" to send as gift to a few persons.

The above poem is Dedicated to every and anyone who have been in those dark waters or still within those hell-y walls as I pen these words.

It Could Be You
Stand by and for Others
