Another fantastic lecture from Chris Bishop at The Royal Institution. He covers the history, the present and the future of artificial intelligence. It covers everything from Alan Turing, AlphaGo to the Singularity. And even HAL 9000!
Bishop has a very realistic view of artificial intelligence, far removed from the pessimism shown in Hollywood or even the likes of Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking. It's a view that makes sense to me, like we discussed in the comments of my previous post about AI.
It's an hour long, but it's structured and narrated so eloquently time just flies. So make some time and watch this little gem. If you have one hour to learn about AI, this has to be it.
