Unreal Engine 4 is a tool developed by epic games that gives everything you need to start, ship and grow. You can download the engine and use it for everything from Game Development, Education, Architecture, and Visualization to VR, Film and Animation. When you ship a game or application, you pay a 5% royalty on gross revenue after the first $3,000 per product, per quarter.

For those of you who can not coding, they provide a visual scripting system called "Blueprints".
The Blueprints Visual Scripting system in Unreal Engine 4 is a complete gameplay scripting system based on the concept of using a node-based interface to create gameplay elements from within the Unreal Editor. Like many common scripting languages, it is used to define an object-oriented class (OO) or object in a machine. When you use UE4, you will often find that objects defined using Blueprints are in language called "Blueprints".
With the High Quality Graphics on this engine, the developers often also use it to create Architectural Visualization like what has been made by UE4Arch...
