The Day The World Became Vegan: The Future I saw.

I woke up in a statement today,

Beautiful sun rays coming my way

And the thoughts on my mind were thoughts I was free to say.

It'd be a decade now since we came out of our meat-eating slumber,

Long gone are men with winter hearts.

Long gone are those who came and saw and conquered.

Today, each come, each sees and all co-exist.

Today we boast radiant summer minds with hearts of spring.

We bring a camera to the Savannah now to shoot lions.

Guns are a thing of the past.

Vegetarians have finally learned that fish isn't a vegetable.

Grown men have realized that they do not need baby cow's milk,

Hemp milk, hemp milk they say, it tastes better anyway.

No more commercials saying eggs are a good source of protein,

Now we all know the plant kingdom is where the good protein can be sourced.

No fur, no leather, no silk, no mink.

No more mindless consumption, today our people think.

We have awoken and have remembered, in a word, empathy.

In exchange for our bloodlust, we have reclaimed our health,

a clarity of mind and a heart of atonement.

Though they can forgive we must not forget what we had done to them.

A life of atonement, much better than a life of wrongful indulgence.

Today I awoke into the future, one that echoes with the resonance of peace, love, and unity.

Today the world became vegan.
