☀️ All day Breakfast 🍅 The full English 🌱 Healthy Plant Based Style 💚

I wanted to share this dish for @lenasveganliving contest #fruitsandveggiesmonday. In Britain we have a breakfast dish called the Full English, or Fry Up they mean the same, So does All Day breakfast, literally being a breakfast that you can eat anytime of the Day, especially the breakfast taken by builders, students and people with hangovers! When the main ingredients are mainly meat, I thought making a veganized version of this dish would be fun, as it was one I did like to eat alot when I was really hungry and literally want a dinner for breakfast.

To Faux or Not to Faux...?

There have been a lot of faux meat post flying around on steemit and a few groups online that give motivation to vegan beginners, often it is suggested to use the faux meat for transitioning but when it comes to health and even vegan ethical reasons, I'm not too happy about them. Often they are have ingredients in them that are questionable, chemicals and synthetic flavors made in laboratories (the ingredient often hidden under a different name but essentially being E-numbers), they are products made with profit in mind, and may even be made by a company that is not vegan and would often have to buy these products in supermarkets, that are unethical and cruel towards animals welfare.

Make it Fresh and Spice it Up

My 'Linconshire sausage' and 'Haggis burger' are not going to give you a meaty experience but will certainly fill you up and taste really nice. My partner reckons the Haggis Burger is really convincing, we used to get Haggis roll from his mum from Scotland when we both were still transitioning to a vegan diet and still eating very small amounts of animal products. What we like about these haggis rolls was that they spiced deliciously, so I used spices like cloves, black pepper, kosha salt and herbs along with toasted sunflower seeds and left over adzuki beans, celery, a spring onion and the chia egg to bind it and somehow the combo of these ingredients did taste very similar to the original.

Make enough home faux mix for a couple days and use it for different meals

The 'Sausages' were made with some left over mixture from my mini burgers, which was raw green cauliflower blitz in the blender then chickpeas, chia egg and some chili pepper, kosha salt and herbs. Real Lincolnshire sausages are pale in color and spicy, so they do look quite similar, considering the flavor is mainly spice, it wasn't that far off. The other ingredients in an All Day Breakfast is; Baked Beans, obviously the ones you by in the tin are full of salt and preservatives and refined sugars, so making your own version is a lot healthier! I just used some kidney beans and borlotti beans, onions, tomatoes and spice as you wish. Fried mushrooms and Onions are a must, Some people like hash browns, I'm not a big fan so I made my fried eggplant fried in red lentil batter mix that I made for my recent salad post. And the best thing of all is raw kale, which does not taste bitter if you massage it with a good oil, I use olive oil and add some nutritional yeast flakes to it, its a super tasty trick I learnt from a vegan friend.

It's all about the Sauce!

Normally a 'fry up' breakfast will include ketchup or brown sauce, both of these are quite unhealthy considering the amount of salt, sugar and artificial stuff added. I always make my own dips and sauces and this is no exception! Back in the day one of my favorite things used to be to mix ketchup and mayo to make a cocktail type sauce, I also used to like brown sauce for the vinegar taste but the color isn't so appetizing. This sauce is somewhere in the middle of all of thees, I used tomatoes, chickpeas, apple cider vinegar, red pepper, kosha salt, some herbs and if you wanted to make a bit sweet like ketchup you could add some natural sugar but I prefer mine more savory/acidic.

Time to Enjoy Breakfast anytime of Day!
