Security these days has moved from typing in password to using patterns and now even that is going out of style, now everyone trusts biometrics.Most phones these days come with fingerprint scanners because fingerprints are not easy to hack and no two people can have the same fingerprint meaning it's very secure.

Benefits
This feature makes the app more secure, moving on from the traditional pattern lock to biometrics. Since no 2 people can have the same fingerprint it means only one user can unlock the app using fingerprint at a time.
