A hidden feature on Steemit.com: How to find active posts?

Did you know that Steemit has a page to show posts by their latest activity? With this feature you can see not only trending, hot or latest posts, but also posts that received comments recently. This can be helpful when you want to find blog posts with active discussions that you can read or be a part of.

Probably Steemit is only beta testing this feature for now, because the page is hidden currently, but let me show you how I found it and how you can use that page already now. I could not find this mentioned anywhere, so I assume that it is news.

Page not found

I found this by entering random addresses into the address bar for testing.
For pages that cannot be found, Steemit shows a "Not Found" page. This page contains the link to the "Active Posts" page.

Active Posts

Please note that the top post in this list is already 51 minutes old and has only 6 upvotes, but three comments. Let's open that post.

Latest comment

Opening the latest active post and scrolling to the comment section...

Latest comment

The latest comment is only three minutes old, so this post had recent activity.

Active Posts per Tag

Similar to the other listing pages, the active posts page also supports listing posts for individual tags, but there is no navigation for this in the UI, so we have to manually add a tag to the address. Following screenshot contains an example for the tag 'steemit'.

Latest posts for tag 'steemit'

Summary

There you have it, Steemians. You can find the most recently commented posts by going to https://steemit.com/active. In order to find the latest active posts for a specific tag, add the tag to the URL, like so for the tag 'steemit': https://steemit.com/active/steemit

I hope that helps. Please spread the word and resteem. :)
If you find errors or have things to add, please let me know in the comments.
