Passdora: Implemented System Information Dialogue

We implemented a new feature for our PASSDORA Box. Passdora is a Raspberry Pi based system which hosts the Sequry password-manager.

PASSDORA

New Features

What feature(s) did you add?

In order to allow the system-administrator to get information about the system's current status/health a function is required that displays these information. Those information could be obtained by logging in via SSH and then executing the correct commands, but the user might not have the required knowledge, skill or maybe doesn't want to use/enable SSH. Therefore a dialog is added to the administration that simply displays those information.

Reasons
  • user is inexperienced and doesn't know how to get all required information
  • user doesn't want to use/enable SSH
  • user wants a quick overview of the system in the administration

How did you implement it/them?

  1. Find out if there is a script/tool that displays the required information:
There is a open source project: https://www.ezservermonitor.com/
  2. The tool is a complete website so it has to be hosted on the system: [989a5104]
(Uses the same domain as the system but a different port)
  3. Add a dialog to the administration that displays the page in an iframe: [passdora-quiqqer-module@bc322e73]
