Screen Rotation Although Does not Rotate The Interface But Crashes the App

Expected behavior

When you rotate the device it should either rotate the app interface or it should operate smoothly.

Actual behavior

But when you rotate the screen although it does not rotate the interface crashes the app.

How to reproduce

1. Install the app from F-Droid.
   
2. Launch the app. Now rotate the device such that it is used in landscape mode.
   
3. Click on the barcode icon on bottom right corner of the app.
   
4. Now click on back arrow. Perform step 2 and 3 in rotating device mode.
   
   The app either crashes after step 3 or after step 4.
