EP. 14: University of Greatness – What Happens When John Cena is Never going to Give up a Fight is More than Winning WWE Championship (Inspiring Life Lessons for Someone not going to give up)

It been a while since I last watch Wrestle Mania, I use to be a big fan of Wrestle Mania and Soccer before other things came into my life and took my attention away completely from both sports which use to be my favorites (I don’t know my favorite currently).

So I spent the whole night watching Wrestle Mania again with great joy because I could understand what I was actually watching, it was real and clear unlike my experience few weeks back. You can read about it here.

From where I started watching and reading It seem though I was far from watching the latest wrestling matches but Wrestle Mania has a way of always been interesting and new even when you are watching a 5 years back match, you can still enjoy it and learn some good lessons if that's why you're watching.

Also the fact that you can go on youtube to watch previous episodes or just read an article on www.wwe.com to understand what has been going on early makes it easy to cope.

I learnt pretty inspiring and great lessons of life last night watching John Cena wrestle with AJ- Styles to win the WWE Championship in Royal Rumble January this year and break a historic record of 16th World Title which was a tied one by Ric Flair.

It was far from guaranteed John Cena would win the match because AJ Styles was a complete fit and strong man this year.

He had first defeated John Cena at “SummerSlam”, captured the WWE Championship a month later at “Backlash” and there after that successfully defended his title against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match at WWE No Mercy.

This is according to the preview i read in a post on www.wwe.com. If you would love to go through http://www.wwe.com/shows/royalrumble/2017/aj-styles-vs-john-cena-results

So after losing twice to AJ Styles and now been offer an opportunity not only to win the phenomenal AJ but to also break a tied records of 16th World Title, he had vow to himself to either win the match or fight till someone dies between him and AJ. (my thought though)

When announced and coming to the stage Cena hold a small towel and on it was written boldly “Never Give Up” he stared at the cloth a lot and I think he was using that to re-affirm to himself that the only option he has was to either win or win. There was no room for any other option. Also on Cena right hand was a band and written on it is “Never Give Up”.

So the match begins and AJ Styles as a strong and fit wrestler tried all his best to knock out Cena many times but all to no avail until Cena finally got hold of him and won.

Below are two Important lessons I learnt watching that interesting Wrestling match

A man determined never to give up is unstoppable

It all begins with recognizing that there will surely be challenges, coming to a realization early that the fight is not going to be easy but yet getting determined to win at all cost.

There’s no one that can stop a determined man, for Cena it was surely to win or win or even at worst die while trying because he needs to break a record and win WWE Championship once again even if this means the last one.

But for AJ Styles there was little determination I could perceive; it was never a win or win or at worst die match for him because he’s not breaking or making any record at that moment, secondly he has done well previously so even if he lose this, he might still be regarded a good fighter after all, so he gave up when the knock down were much.

A Knock down is not a knock out

Failure comes from taking a knock down as a knock out but greatness is achieved when refusing to get knock out even after series of knock down.

AJ Styles will bring Cena down many times with some nice kicking skills and will try to sleep over for the 3 victory count by the referee but Cena will always say no at the last count.

But why? AJ would exclaim, many times…………

In the fight for greatness there will be a lot of knock down, failure, disappointments, problems but they are there for a purpose and that’s so you can fight more, so you can have a beautiful story after the fight and so others can learn from that.

Life is a struggle, a lot of things are prepared to knock you down but you can be victorious if you refuse to get knock out. You have to keep yourself in remembrance “if I fail the test of life, there is no resit even in heaven”.

You’ve got to fight until problems, challenges and struggles get tired of you and give up.
