Hace poco terminé de leer el libro "El Mundo de Sofía" (que pues, habla de filosofía), libro del que me inspiré muchísimo para hacer esta frase. Evidentemente me gustó bastante este libro, principalmente porque me ha enseñado cosas que considero que han influido de cierta forma en mi personalidad. En cierta parte hablan un poquito del filósofo Immanuel Kant. Lo que más me gustó es cuando hablan de su interpretación de la ley moral, es decir, la capacidad de diferenciar entre lo que está bien y está mal.
I recently finished reading the book "Sophie's World" (that talks about philosophy), a book that inspired me a lot to make this quote. I evidently loved the book, mainly because it has taught me things that I think have influenced my personality in a certain way. There is a part where they talk a bit about the philosopher Immanuel Kant. What I liked the most is when they talk about Kant's interpretation of moral law, that is, the ability to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong.
Lo que dicen aquí es que únicamente si seguimos la ley moral (por ejemplo, al hacer lo correcto incluso cuando no sea lo que nos convenga), seremos libres, ya que hemos sido nosotros los que tomamos esa decisión. De lo contrario, si nos dejamos llevar por nuestro egoísmo o nuestros caprichos, sólo estaremos siguiendo una línea de causa-efecto que nos ha llevado a tomar esa decisión sin pensar en si es correcto o no.
What they say here is that only if we follow the moral law (for example, by doing the right thing even when it is not for us), we will we be free, since it was us who made that decision. Otherwise, if we let ourselves be carried away by our selfishness or our whims, we will only be following a cause-effect line that has led us to make that decision without thinking about whether it is correct or not.
Así es, hagan lo correcto. Serán libres.

(Estos últimos días no subí blogs ya que estuve ocupado con varias cosas y no estuve mucho tiempo en casa, pero al menos tuve el tiempo de hacer estas imágenes. De todas formas intentaré hacer un post todos los días. /These last days I didn't upload any blogs since I was busy with several things and I did not spend much time at home, but at least I had the time to take these photos.
