ULOG #27: “CHEESE RAMYEON” : trying out their new ramyeon

To My Lovely Readers...

Many of us are going ga-ga over Korean pop stars and Korean Dramas, besides these people love their dishes too. Korean foods are special, exotic and very particular. Its spiceness is the most distinguished feature of their food.

There are lots of Korean dishes that they can offer, bibimbap, gimbap, tappeokke and maybe Filipinos all time favorite is their “Ramyeon”. Showing you some photos of their newly added to their ramyeon family the “Cheese Ramyeon”.

Ramyeon is a staple in Korea, the easiest when their stomachs are complaining that they would go for this type of food and perhaps the national fast food/junk food. But why do people eat this? Is it the taste and the spiceness that people want to have? I have eaten filipino pancit canton and noodles. So I tried this new “cheese ramyeon” from one of the Korean restaurants in Cebu City, “Chosun Chicken”. Known for their chicken with its “yangnyeom sauce” (super spicy) and “goocho sauce” (sweet and spicy) that peopel would want to come back and order the same dish.

After my classes, a co-worker of mine and I ended up sitting and ordering ramyeon, but not the usual ramyeon but cheese ramyeon. We were trying if we can taste the difference and if it’s a thumbs up for our taste. Spicy, hot and before eating it you could really smell the cheese melting on the surface of the noodles. Such a delish food for me, the taste of the cheese mixed into the spicy soup noodles, it blended the taste of it. Sweet a little but the spiceness would really dominate.

”Kimchi”

This is my favorite, kimchi! Though it is really spicy but I do love to eat this side dish, from salted and fermented vegetables. Commonly from napa cabbage, radishes and seasonings. The taste is superb. So when I ordered ramyeon I asked the staff to put a lot of kimchi.

If you have time and want to eat ramyeon, you can visit Chosun Chicken, they have branches in the City, General Maxilom St. (Mango) and located at Banilad. They do have tasty dishes.

Thank you for reading my 27th #ulog post. :)
