Rock cover of the fanfare victory song from Final Fantasy VI game.
While most of the FF game I know share the same melodies for the fanfare victory, there are some variations you can listen to:
Mostly instrumentals choice, then some new lines.
I tried to add some new melodies arppegios here, while playing the main melody on my guitar. Arppegios are inspired by the FF V version.
At the beginning, this song was using free VSTi and soundfonts for brass, horn and harp, but they do not sound as great as it should be regards of the whole quality of album it would have been.
Finally, Hashel and Mind Waker (Leo) from Pixel Mixers convinced me that I had to improve it with better sounds.
If there are some great softwares and soundbanks, they are too pricey for me right now (maybe later ?).
And finally, the best option was to use more classical square, sine, triangle chiptune sounds.
They also help me alot in the mixing, and I think that thanks to them, I have improved my whole sound quality since the beginning of the year.
This cover is part of "Worlds Requiem", a triple album of covers from FFVI OST, a great project from Pixel Mixers.
