How to draw an arrow in GIMP?

I have just installed GIMP on my Linux computer and since I haven't been using GIMP before, there are a couple of things that I need to learn about the program. You will always compare a program to the programs you have used earlier, and thus, you might find the lacks to be quite brutal. And yes, I do miss the fact that there is no easy way to draw an arrow in GIMP.

But, I have found a way that is quite good and will the the job if you are in a hurry and just need something to come up that looks like an arrow.

Create an arrow in GIMP

The thing is, you select a brush and then click where you want the arrow to start. Then you click the shit button and then you move your mouse to the point where you want the arrow to end and click your mouse.

You will now have a straight line or something like that (depending on whether you use a normal brush or something else).

Now you just click at the end point, click shift, and then draw one side of the arrow in the direction that you want to. Then you click the end of the line again and draw the other side of the arrow.

In the end, it doesn't require a lot of time, and you will easily be able to make an arrow that can be used.
