UAE에서 가능한 해외취업을 알아볼까요?
오늘 두바이를 방문한 청년분들을 뵙고 느낀건데 한국의 취업문제가 급격히 나아질 기미가 없다는군요. 사실 박근혜전대통령이 중동으로 나가라는 말씀을 할 때만 해도 참 무책임하다는 생각으로 웃어버렸는데, 한편으로는 해외취업이라는게 하나의 방법으로 생각될 수도 있겠다란 생각이 문득 들었죠.
왜냐하면, 취업난이란 화두는 지엽적인 문제가 아닌 세계화란 물결과 A.I. 및 로봇등에 의해서 인간을 대체하는 노동 생산성 향상이란 물결이 함께 몰려오고 있다고 볼 수 있죠. 그래서, 줄어드는 자국의 일자리 기회를 해외에서 찾아보는 노력은 상당히 당위성이 있어 보인다고 생각이 들죠.
참고로, 최근 두바이에 많이 유입되는 스페인 젋은 친구들과 얘기를 해 보면 2013년경 자국 실업률이 25% 수준까지 올라갔었다고 하네요. 다행이 현재는 20%를 밑도는 수준이지만 양질의 일자리에 대한 절대 공급이 지속적인 문제라고 하는군요.
서두가 좀 길었는데 제가 출간 목적으로 모아둔 청년 구직 관련 자료를 공유하면 한국이란 땅이 좁게 느껴지는 진취적인 1% 도전자들에 좀 도움이 되지 않을까 싶네요.
우선 UAE 국가 재정수입 대부분을 차지하는 원유와 관련 있는 에너지 분야부터 시작해 볼까요.
몸풀기로 다소 뜬금없지만 Undergraduate program부터 시작해 볼까요? 아예 해외 유학 시작부터 에너지 분야 한 곳을 공략하면 어떨까란 생각이 들어서요.

The Petroleum Institute University and Research Center (PI) was established in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates in 2001 with a goal of becoming a world-class institution in both engineering education and energy industry research. PI currently has more than 2000 undergraduate and graduate students, over 200 faculty, and has quickly become a leading teaching and research institution in the Middle East region.
