How often do we think about the values we use every day? Russia's aggression against Ukraine has forced many to rethink simple but very important things. But does the people of Europe remember the price of freedom?
Looking at what is happening in real time, there are double feelings. On the one hand, Europeans and the world community received refugees from Ukraine very warmly, providing them with shelter, protection and assistance. On the other hand, the manifestations of certain politicians are surprising and sometimes just outrageous.
The right to choose a place to work, rest, with whom to spend time, what to buy. Does all this have a price? According to Hungarian, French and German politicians, the price of freedom is oil, gas and even territory. Every day Ukrainian soldiers prove the opposite, the price of freedom is dignity, courage and, unfortunately, human life.
The great German figure Otto von Bismarck once said: "No agreement with Russia is worth the paper on which it is signed." And as time shows, he was right. I wonder what Bismarck told his political compatriots today? We see the German Chancellor, Mr. Scholz, making many promises to support the Ukrainian army with modern weapons. Promises that he does not fulfill, but in simple words lies to Ukrainians, the world and his people. The price of this lie is the human life of Ukrainian soldiers who defend the values of freedom, which in turn are used daily by the Chancellor himself.
So. Freedom and human life are priceless. They cannot have a material price. Everything material can be gained or lost. It is impossible to return human life, and the price of freedom, as already noted, is human life itself. The sooner the world realizes this, the more support and assistance Ukraine will have, the sooner the Putin (dictatorial) regime will fall and we will all return to a peaceful life with freedom of choice, thinking and the ability to pass these values on to our descendants.
Чи часто ми замислюємось про ті цінності, якими користуємося щодня? Агресія Росії проти України змусила багатьох переосмислити прості, але дуже важливі речі. Але чи пам’ятає населення Європи ціну свободи?
Дивлячись у реальному часі на те, що відбувається, виникають подвійні почуття. З одного боку Європейці, та світове суспільство дуже тепло прийняло біженців з України, надавши їм прихисток, захист і допомогу. З іншого боку, прояви певних політиків дивує а часом просто обурює.
Право обирати місце роботи, відпочинку, з ким проводити час, що купувати. Є у всього цього ціна? Виходячи з висловлювань угорських, французьких, німецьких політиків, ціна свободи - це нафта, газ і навіть територія. Українські воїни щодня доводять протилежне, ціна свободи – це гідність, відвага і на жаль людське життя.
Великий німецький діяч Отто фон Бісмарк якось сказав: «Ні один договір з Росією не вартий паперу, на якому він підписаний». І як показує час, він був правий. Цікаво, щоб Бісмарк сказав сьогодні своїм політичним землякам? Ми бачимо, як канцлер Німеччини, пан Шольц, роздає безліч обіцянок про підтримку українського війська сучасною зброєю. Обіцянки, які не виконує, а простими словами бреше українцям, світу і своєму народу. Ціна цієї брехні – людське життя українських воїнів, які відстоюють цінності свободи, яким в свою чергу повсякденно користується і сам пан канцлер.
Отже. Свобода та людське життя – безцінні. Вони не можуть мати матеріальну ціну. Все матеріальне, можна здобути або втратити. Повернути людське життя не можливо, а ціна свободи, як було вже відзначено – саме людське життя. Чим швидше світ це усвідомить, чим більша буде підтримка і допомога України, тим швидше впаде путінський (диктаторський) режим і всі ми повернемося до мирного життя, маючи свободу вибору, мислення та можливість передати ці цінності своїм нащадкам.
