Я не являюсь ярим фанатом аніме, не дивлюсь все підряд. Мені подобаються фільми в яких є родзинка. Приємно дивитись фільм коли до кінця не відомо чим він може кінчитись, хто злодій і як головний герой вийде із ситуації в якій опинився. Дане аніме сподобалось унікальним сюжетом і динамікою розвитку подій у стрічці.
Одним з головних героїв є Рюк, монстр якому нудно.
Щоб розвіятись і повеселитись він відправляє на Землю Зошит Смерті спостерігаючи за тим, що цікаве з цього вийде. Його план починає виконуватися, коли зошит підбирає талановитий учень старшої школи Лайт Ягамі, якому так само набриднув навколишній світ.
Спочатку Лайт розглядав рукопис як чийсь невдалий жарт, але незабаром, експериментальним шляхом перед ним відкривається правда написана в Зошит Смерті. За розслідування серії дивних вбивств береться Інтерпол та загадковий детектив Ел, який зробить все, щоб зупинити Кіру.
