The arena presented itself stunningly as we touched down in Las Vegas, and again as I took a walk from my hotel. From a distant, it looked like a surreal blue marble, just dropped into the neighborhood. The outside is covered in bulbs that display all sorts of graphics. At night, those overshadow the glitz and glimmer of the city that never sleeps.
There's a pop up shop in the nearby Venetian Hotel and Casino with some lovely exhibits on the band's history. This US sho commemorates the 30th anniversary of their wildly popular Achtung Baby release. The band was questioning their future, and chose to reinvent themselves rather that rest on success.
