Article Two of the United States Constitution requires the President of the United States to nominate Supreme Court Justices and, with Senate confirmation, requires Justices to be appointed. ... he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint .. Judges of the Supreme Court...

As Justice Anthony Kennedy, Associate Justice. since February 18, 1988. Age81 prepare to retire, the burden to choose the next supreme court justice lays on President Trump. During 2016 primary then-candidate Trump provided 20 names as his potential nominees and later added 5 making it 25. Below are the original names:

Keith Blackwell
Charles Canady
Steven Colloton
Allison Eid
Raymond Gruender
Thomas Hardiman
Raymond Kethledge
Joan Larsen
Mike Lee
Thomas Lee
Edward Mansfield
Federico Moreno
William Pryor
Margaret A. Ryan
Amul Thapar
Timothy Tymkovich
David Stras

Patrick Wyrick, an Oklahoma state Supreme Court justice

So as Justice Anthony Kennedy retires, President Trump, today made his final announcement by selecting Brett Kavanaugh. The Left and the mean stream media (CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC etc)has gone silly over this selection, pretending that any of his nominees will overrule Roe v. Wade ... The fallacy that Democrats with their fellow liberals has been spreading for 30 years now.

Who is Brett Kavanaugh:
Judge Kavanaugh is particularly of the establishment. He grew up in Washington, graduated from Yale Law School, clerked for the man he would replace, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, worked on the impeachment of President Bill Clinton and served in the Bush White House before landing a plum federal appellate court appointment — in Washington — at the age of 38.

The nomination also comes just before the President leaves for a critical trip to Britain, a NATO summit in Belgium and a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The confirmation hearing will be contentious but be rest assured that he will be confirmed.

Stay tuned.
