Niantic has announced the star Pokémon of the next community day event in September 2024. Ponytail (including Galarian Ponyta), which is the Fire type Pokemon from two Generations will be the featured Pokémon and spawn more often during the event on Saturday, September 14, 2024. It has been a while since they last did a Community Day on two forms of the same Pokemon so will be interesting.

As usual the community day event will last for three hours and will be on a Saturday this time around again from 2pm to 5pm local times. The bonuses during the event will be 3x Stardust and 2x Candy for catching Pokemon. No other rewards have been announced except for the typical three hour lure duration. However, there will also be a 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and above to get Candy XL from catching as well. As usual, you will have a chance to encounter the shiny form of the Pokémon Ponyta in increased probabilities during the event. Also, the exclusive charged attack Wild Charge will be gained from evolving Ponyta to Rapidash up to five hours after the event has been announced. It will be interesting to see how much interest this gets from the community this month. Good luck and catch ‘em all!
