A couple of weeks ago, we elicited people’s thoughts on how we can improvement engagement for our Post of the Month, Compliment of the Month, and Non-Compliment Comment of the Month Contest. [Here’s the post where opinions were posted.](https://inleo.io/@freecompliments/freecompliments-community-seeking-recommendations-to-improve-our-contest-post-of-the-month-compliment-of-the-month-noncompliment-comment-of-the-month-47g) People’s feedback was closely considered, and one of the biggest issues was that there were far too many nominations from which to choose at once. # Our Decision Starting tomorrow, I’m going to create a post for each week of nominations (2 nominations per category) where people can vote between the two in each category. For each week, people can vote between 2 posts, 2 compliments, and 2 comments. Easy peasy. These posts will be considered “semi-finals” and the final post, the “final,” will contain the winners of each week, thus culminating in 4 finalists per category (posts, compliments, and comments). For the semifinals, I’ll give people to opportunity to cast their vote directly in the post, or within a poll created on Threads. Versatility and options never hurt! # Follow-up Questions to the Community Now, my question to the community: should I tag all of our inaugural members for each semifinal post (to get a wider breadth of participation), or should I just leave the posts untagged so that whomever comes across it can vote? Furthermore, should we allow people who voted in the semifinals to also vote in the finals? # Conclusion We’ve decided upon a way to reorganize our contest to increase engagement in voting for our nominees!
