Off we went towards one of the highest borders situated in khunjerab pass, the Pak-China border is at the height of 16200 ft. It is the point where the highest Paved International road known as the Karakoram highway the eighth wonder of the world enters China. The snowcapped mountainous region and pleasant weather around excites your emotion as you enter the region, we even experienced a bit of snowfall it was my first experience seeing snow falling from the sky. A truly mesmerizing feeling, you might even see a northern Yak unfortunately we didn’t spot one maybe because it was summer time.

Finally when we reached the border there was a Chinese delegation which came from across the border we shook hands and I showed off a little bit of Chinese which I had learnt from Rush hour, but a good gesture such as Nee How and Shay Shay meaning, Hello and Thank you put a bright smile on their faces and they greeted us with a lot more enthusiasm. They took a selfie with me but I couldn’t take one with them as their bus was leaving well who knows where my pic might be. This was the farthest part we traveled on this journey from Karachi to Khunjerab pass. There was even an ATM situated and it stated that this was the highest situated and working atm in the world, cool huh.

I had some Peaky Blinder vibes, well it felt like that but was a necessity because of the cold weather.

We spent an hour there and off we headed back towards Naran, this was an epic journey of Northern Pakistan seeing such topographical features within a region, from green fertile mountains, to dessert rugged mountains and finally snowcapped 8000+ Meter Mountains. This was a journey to remember but still it doesn’t end here we had to discover a sacred and ancient city taxila where once was the oldest living civilization in history the Indus valley civilization.

If you want to see some more beauty of Fairy Meadows, here is a video I uploaded on Dtube of the surrounding area of Nanga Parbat enjoy it.
