#1 CALIFORNIA Roadtrip [The Ultimate Guide]

California, a roadtrip with friends.

Hi everybody, I travelled to California last year (2016) and I wanted to write down my experience, tips, recommendations and the overall trip with my friends in this awesome destination.

We started our trip in LOS ANGELES , huge caos city with a bunch of things to do, then we drove to LAS VEGAS where you can of course, party like an animal for a few days. After that event we moved forward into the wild to YOSEMITE PARK where the nature blowed our minds for a while. Later that day we drove west to the incredible city of SAN FRANCISCO followed by the majestic sights of the #1 Highway in California CABRILLO HWY down to LOS ANGELES again to complete our round trip.

Route to Vegas 😎

The trip actually started in Los angeles but as soon as we landed we picked our Jeep Cherokee and head to Las vegas, our first stop.

We made the trip in July so the temperatures where very HIGH, so be aware of this if you are planning to go in that time of the year, the road to Vegas was extremely hot and we had to buy several bottles of water, no joke

There are a few things that worth the stop during the 4 hour drive to vegas, one of them is Elmer's Bottle Tree Ranch a bizarre place where you can take pictures of a strange kind of art made with bottles, nothing crazy about it but the good part is that you actually have to take ROUTE 66 to get there and it takes you back on time.

It was almost midday so of course we where hungry AF. Thanks to tripadvisor we found Peggy Sue's 50's Diner http://www.peggysuesdiner.com/

We stopped for a classic route 66 burger, the burger was fine nothing WOW about it. I recommend you to go not for the food but to see the place that seems to be locked in time.

BIG Shout out to @frannco looking akward next to @nachinsen

Temperature here was almost 104° F and we just had eaten gross amounts of fat so imagine our mood.

The next stop was BAKER where the World's tallest thermometer is. I didn't find the picture we took there but you can check this curiosity right here

Finally we made it

We arrived to Las Vegas, made the check-in in our awesome Hotel and rested from the long flight we had to get prepare for the Vegas night.
