Asmolov Park is a cozy hidden place, located at a distance from the Sumy city center. Some of our local citizens have not even know about its existence. But for those who know, this park is a great place for a relaxed outdoor pastime, romantic dates or spending time with children, helping them to get know nature.
With a wide variety of trees, bushes, flowers, and other plants the territory of Asmolov park is officially considered an object of landscape art. And I have to say, it looks amazing during a warm period, from April till October.
In March, we usually come here to enjoy the first spring flowers. This year we are a bit early,
but you can see how nice it looked 2 years ago.

This old blue building was the home of the park’s founder who lived here in the early 20th century.

I can not say that the park is always full of people, but the fact that you can always find a beautiful cozy place here is for sure.
I remember, when being pregnant with my son, I used to walk in Asmolov Park. Perhaps because the hospital is located just in two houses from it, right behind the church:-)
Now we walk there together, making new small discoveries with each visit. This place always has something to surprise us.
The last fall it was a black walnut, untypical tree for Ukraine:
This time it was an odd fir tree with flat white-striped needles that are not prickly at all. I'll have to google to find out what kind of tree it is.
I think it's worth coming back here in the summer:-)
