Come Trippping to The Bosnian Valley of The *Pyramids. (*conditions apply)

In 2006 I heard about The Bosnian Pyramids "discovered" by Dr Samir Osmanagic in 2005. I heard they were opening the pyramid site up to volunteers who wanted to help on the dig, over the Bosnian summers.
I was too excited. I read all the major archaeologists had dismissed them but I thought Id keep my mind open...
(Since then I have become aware to steer clear of things branded "A Sheep No More " ; )

Pyramid Of The Sun looked so promising... and maybe the biggest in the world found so far... and all still covered in lush greenery, I just wanted to come to Bosnia and rip the side off that hill.
Once I had seen some Mayan Pyramids in Mexico and Guatemala, I was on a roll

Heres tiny little me on a Pyramid at Palenque Mexico

I didnt know how I was going to get there but I applied for that summer camp anyway, it was three months away.
They accepted me and I felt special!

So I set my mind wandering and somehow I made it there! I love it when the universe helps with ideas you couldnt even think of. Sorry to all the pragmats who hate that kind of talk.
I was living in Mexico at the time making pies for my mates bar, making about $12 a day and wondering if and how I could ever get to this mythical land called Bosnia, where no one Id ever known had either been or came from.
I saw an advert for an ayahuasca "healing" place in the northern Amazon of Peru... they wanted volunteers to clean vomit buckets and there was an opportunity to massage the clients, and join in on some of the sessions with the shaman, so I applied. I was accepted for the next month and told I would be making $50 an hour massaging tourists.

More like searching for a dead man in the riverbed at 2am. But thats for tomorrows post ; )
Ahhhh Ayahuasca tourism... it aint for the faint of heart...

So I was off...on the next boat, collectivo, plane, bus, boat, horse, bike, bus etc for a whirlwind self tour of Panama and Colombia on the way to Peru, which I cant deal with yet, so skip forward a few months I land in magical ye olde Europe.
From Sarajevo, the little town of Visoko is only an hour away.

This is the Sun Pyramid on from the town

Excellent street art is alive and well in Bosnia

A popular and delicious treat

There are so many sweet, well loved and fed street dogs and puppies, they sprung out of gutters like dandylions

This is The Ravne Tunnels. The first few hundred metres are fortified like this and you can stand up and walk through. Further inside, they are like rabbit warrens just big enough to crawl through on your arms in some parts. These mysterious tunnels run for miles under and nearby the pyramids. They seem to be like a natural aquifer, yet there are thousands of continuing tunnels, which have every entrance blocked up with stones by humans, in organised biggest to smallest, hundreds of tunnerls off hundreds of tunnels, all blocked up.
Our group probably unblocked 100 tunnel entrances over that summer. Over the ten years since theyve been excavating they have uncovered a lot with little "progress".
There was something very fishy about some people but I dont know enough about archaeology, history, politics, or engineering to comment really.

All I noticed was we kept digging tunnel entrances that were going to the right, and the pyramids we wanted to bloody dig under were 2 kms to the left.
Far be it from me to tel about 35 Bosnian and Croatian men how to do their job.
I had the best time ever working both on the mountains pyramids, and in the tunnels.
The tunnels have a sweet clean air, a silence, a resonance which was lush to reverberate amongst.
People say its healing frequencies. It certainly feels like an embrace from your deepest soul being deep inside a mountain.

There was a most pleasing ratio of about 1:10 girls to jedi.
This was one night we went up with fluorescent tubing hoping to tap into some electricity and work some Tesla magic. Nothing happened but we had fun trying.

Digging and excavating the Pyramid Of The Moon

Each day the walk from the hotel to the sites was a few miles through the lush Bosnian countryside along a river

We worked hard every day wherever we were asked

My friend Alfredo from Italy found this stone. He never wanted to give it over for analysis and I understand that romantic heart.

Burnt offerings for summer solstice 2012, Pyramid oF The Sun, Visoko, Bosnia

The clear, sweet fresh water you could drink (until we stirred it up too much all trudging through it).
Ravne Tunnels, Visoko, Bosnia. These water channels are estimated to be man made and up to 12,000, even 20,000 years old. Since I began learning about many pyramids all over the earth that remain covered (like Mexicos Teotihuacan, really only just recently uncovered) and how many have remains of or still flowing running waters below them, it seems to me that pyramids, or mountains may have been shaped into pyramids where possible, for purposes of harvesting electro/magnetic energies.

Working at Ravne most days it was just fun slog pulling wheelbarrows of rubble out of the blocked passageways...

Elissa Scissorhands. Every night was a party on the rooftops with beautiful people from all over the world, weed delivered by all the local teenager boys who had begun serious business with the hundreds of travellers who hit the town now every year.
We couldnt be happier to stimulate the economy. And so lovely the way all breaking "the law" together, we bond.

Pyramid of the Sun from downtown. If its just a mountain, its preciously symmetrical, if its a pyramid, on top of a hill, it would have been so majestical.
Is that a word. Or just a name of a cat?

My favourite Bosnian. Aidijn used to do a party trick. He would turn his back and tell everyone to touch some item on the table top. When he turned around he could pick it!

A unique artist I met in Bosnia. Alexis Rabey That broomstick is telling...get your tits on STEEMIT whydontcha.
Alexis embriders tapestries on the street and then refuses to sell them because no one could pay her what shes worth. She´s been "homeless" over two decades moving, sleeping in ravines, performing and creating... right now shes somewhere near Pamplona Spain, if you see her, enjoy her.

This is an example of the kind of walkway we were exposing digging on the outside of the mountains pyramids.
From video and photos over the net while I was back in Australia, it really looked like a pyramid was being uncovered... but once I was there with pick in hand, it felt like a very broken old pyramid if ever it was one...
This was the Pyramid Of the Moon. Sonda Yug
Some things that looked man made from photos,, when I was there, seeing how a so called walkway of three inch thick slab would just taper off in no particular geometry a few metres further around the hillside, these things looked like natural geography to me.
Some people didnt like that I was half excited half doubting, but this was 2012, theyd already had 6 years to prove if theres a friggen pyramid under all these trees or not, lets get digging!

Some people might like to drag it out while the town, the city, the state, the nation, much money energy and attention is now going to the little war ravaged country so no one wants to interfere with that.
Perhaps Osmanagic is correct and there is an ancient structure buried... keep digging!.

The best thing about travelling is you can be disappointed in person.
From some angles it just looks like a hill.

Never let you Mum put you off swimming with gypsies. I only narrowly saved us here from the Baltic porn market.

My friend and her husband spotted this live grenade in the river. The cops came and moved it to the bank and put a 4 meter police tape around it then went back to donuts.

This is the kind of crap we found. Could have been from IKEA for all I know

These were the best things I found. Every day I found hearts

The Ravne Tunnel team led by Ricky Brett from Italy

Some fucker papped me smirking like a cynical witch at all the wankers following our cult leader when Semir was hosting our meditation on Summer Solstice Sunset 2012. See why I dont get invited to parties?

Keeping Watch. I like the quiet when everyones asleep...
last one up to greet the solstice dawn on Pyramid of The Sun

This is a video of four of us crawling for ten minutes inside the hill, through watery tunnels, to excavate and open the blockages... it was some of the most exciting "work" of my life! The video is probably boring for others but its a nice reminder for me of how much I was shezzizzing myself

Its freaky but its beautiful. Enjoy!
