TripFM #26: Vilaflor Village, Tenerife Island, Spain, 2008 (16 pics)

The village of Vilaflor is situated on the TF-21 route on the way to the Teide National Park. It's hard to tell how beautiful is there. (All links are links to google maps.)



At first sight everything is as usual. Mountine road and views on the coast:





The village is located at an altitude of 1400 meters at sea level and is famous for the round-the-year cultivation of potatoes. On the day of my arrival almost the whole village was hidden in the clouds:









And then I drove into these clouds:





It was magical:







There are no words:





And then I was discovered a huge tree not far from the village, Pino Gordo:



Later I read that this tree is known for its exceptional size. Its perimeter is about 8 meters and the height is 60 meters:
