The good old days

I was going to a burial of an inlaw, during our journey, one among the series of discussions that came up, was that of, how people travelled either on foot or on bicycle(luxury) to far and wide places, Papa ogechi being one of the eldest males of the remaining umu-nna(partner-relations), he recalled in compassion, the difference between, Hercules bicycle and Raleigh,

He himself had Hercules, which I also believed made him a strong fan, Though from various stories I hear, Hercules was built Stronger, both for transport and haulage, His expertise, experience and encounters, proves so,

Herclues was built with powerful hub with Hubs both front and back of better bearing and speedy stress-free ride, meaning; a slight tap on the pedal sends the driver, his goods and passenger sailing to any port of call.

Once upon a business trip the hero actor in this short adventure went o buy business goods from the very popular, largest international market Onitsha-Nigeria-Africa, on his way back he encountered the mobile tax-force men and boy, who where on there on bike, but possibly not Hercules the V8 + ferrari ride of the old world.

His carrying heavy loads of goods, to prove Hercules, the transport king of the Road of the old world, he escaped and went at large with miles gaps and bad roads combined.

He had travelled for over 250 miles in 2~3 hours, do still have a doubt who the king of the Road of early 19 century is going by the African contest, now you know, Whether the brand has gone extinct or turned legendary remains a mystery, but the very existence of more variety of brands proves it must have camouflaged into one.

Thanks, rate & PROMOTE
