Robinhood opened up for trading of crypto currencies today.
If you are in the USand in one of the states that are vetted, and, you signed up early enough, you are now able to start trading, a dozen or so, crypto currencies.
There is only a handful of states vetted and approved, but it is Robinhoods intention that they will, eventually, roll out the service to all states.
Why should you care?
Well. Robinhood doesn’t charge any trading fees and they will give Coinbase a run for their money, and hopefully, make Coinbase lower their ridiculous fees.
One thing to keep in mind, you will not own your private keys, so the currencies that you buy, will be stored and help by Robinhood. They are insured though, and if a hack should occur, you will get you money back.
Hopefully this will make crypto currencies available to many more people and help the adoption of these and grow the market!
