Even Loose, These Bring in the Dough!!!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, you’d know that Funko Pops are one of the hottest collectibles out there. These stupid little vinyl toys have entered the homes of a wide variety of collectors, mainly due to Funko’s vast licensing. They have something for literally everyone, and it’s one of the few products I sell in my shop that captures such a wide and varying audience & fanbase.

These things hold a tremendous value amongst the rabid fanbase…especially the more rare and exclusive pieces. While Box condition matters to a bunch of mofo’s, luckily the base is split amongst folks who crack em open as they just want to let those puppies breathe. “Display your toys”, I say!!!

Good thing we have plenty of loose Pops to fill that void for that select group. In one of the massive collections we obtained several months back, there was a large bin of over 300 loose Pops that I just never got around to…until now. Pricing those along with the random 100 plus loosies we had floating around through various means, meant finding room in an already over crowded shop. Luckily, long comic boxes did the trick

I priced these badboys up over a couple of days, popped out the boxes, posted on our Instagram, and had a crowd within a hour come to feast. These folks here who are regulars, saw that post and rushed in to get first crack. Since then, we’ve probably sold about 50 of the over 400. These range in price from $7 bucks all the way up to $300!!!

Some of the winners I found amongst these were a Homer Simpson & a Red Skull. Both of those fetch between $250-$300 each…loose!!! Those fetch about double if sealed. This was $$$ that was just sitting in the back doing nothing for us besides taking up space. Now we have a new little section that seems busy and full of traffic throughout the day. Folks have been pulling out the knee pads we put out, plopping down, as they begin their dig to find their treasures. Mission Accomplished.

Thanks for looking!
