Changing the clock – Just another means of control

Daylight savings time was first introduced in 1908 in Canada and eventually spread to over 40 countries.

At the time, in 1908 more daylight meant more productive time. Today it does not.

In 1908 it helped save energy. Today it does not.

Studies find that there are more car crashes on the first Monday after the change. According to investors.com “ One of these studies, published in the Journal of Accident Analysis and Prevention, found that springing forward causes an extra 195 auto fatalities and 171 pedestrian deaths each year.”

There are studies showing increases in the number of strokes.

Judges have been found to impose harsher sentences.

There are also workplace injuries and losses in productivity.

US “tried” to go to a daylight savings time for the entire year in 1974 but apparently because children were going to school in the dark, some were killed in accidents.

Time is, as far as we know today, linear. The linear progression of time has been measured for thousands of years. It is a natural, constant and consistent advance.

Nowhere in nature does time jump back and forth at the whim of the government.

Yet we find ourselves told to wake up earlier, or later, twice a year because of government dictates.

It is just another way to manipulate the masses, to impose an unnecessary control and turn the screw one more notch.

If you have gotten to like these changes, maybe a self-examination would reveal a cognitive dissonance problem.

I refuse to follow this clock change edict. Luckily, I am not forced to obbide by the government mandated and unnatural time shifts.

Florida just passed a bill to eliminate the time change and stay on FDST all year round. I’ve been on that time for years and don’t even change my car clock. Since I live in Florida, I am hoping that today marks the last day turning the clock is required.

Unfortunately, a sovereign state in a Federal Republic, Florida in this case, in USA requires the approval of the US Congress in order to enact a state law. This will likely NOT happen. Nevada tried in 1968 and the US Congress said NO.

I urge everyone to do whatever possible to help stop this back and forth change in time keeping. We’ve been manipulated enough.
