Hey Rubbernecker, looking for a trainwreck you can't look away from?

The Fail Army has started streaming on Theta.tv.

If you haven't signed up for theta.tv do so here and we can get back to watching that dang trainwreck!

If you will create an account, theta.tv will pay you in theta fuel for any bandwidth you share with your closest neighbors.

What is happening is that by leaving a tab open and theta.tv running in the background you are sharing your upload bandwidth with the network.
You get paid for that.
You only need peers within 1000 miles of you.

The tracker keeps track, and pays out the tfuel.

You get paid when the green number goes up, and somebody else is getting paid when the blue number goes up.
Somebody near me must love me because that blue number seems to run wild while the green number takes its sweet time.
The red number is the cdn feeding you.
I haven't put together the math, but I've gotten 58tfuel since the 4th of July.

Theta is a decentralized content delivery network.
When you join by watching theta.tv, or running an edge node, the network uses your upload bandwidth to feed other nearby streamers.
It is cheaper for theta to do it this way than to pay the cdn's across the world.

The value proposition is in tfuel being gas, and theta being the governance token.
When the internet of things needs more bandwidth than centralized cdn's can deliver, this is where theta comes in.
The big content streamers will have to buy tfuel to get resources for streaming their content.

Theta is a blockchain, though I know little about it.
Governance is done by some central block producers and monitored by guardian nodes.
You can stake a guardian node with 10k theta.
If you stake with the gpool, you don't even need hardware, they will let you use their's.
Or, you can set up a guardian node on your device and stake your theta in it.
If you have less than 10k theta there are options to stake, but it introduces 3rd party risk.

Theta didn't ico, but is currently not available in the United Snakes.
Coindesk may be offering it soon, but who knows.
The SEC shouldn't be chasing them because they didn't ico.

You can buy some here, if you absolutely refuse to be a slave in a free country, or you can wait until the price explodes after coinbase lists them.
Up to you.

Either way, don't say I didn't give you the heads up.
