Today is Monday and you know what that means? Yes, it's time to fling open the doors of the Scout's Chambers for the very first time. We talked quite a lot about the whole hullabaloo here in the introduction and we set a day to kickoff; Monday. That day seemed very far away but it is here!

Nominations Are Now Open!

This week's nominations will be open from Monday 4th December, 2017 to Friday 8th December, 2017.

You could wait till Friday before submitting your nominated links just to make sure you're submitting the best of the best but do note that peradventure someone beats you to nominating the post, it's a first come first served kinda thing. So you need eyes and speed.

Once again, here's a recap of the rules:

• Nominations open on Mondays (12:00 am) and closes on Fridays (11:59 pm). This means only posts published and submitted within this time frame are eligible.

• You should not nominate your own post.

• The post must be made by a Nigerian using the Nigeria tag ( #nigeria ).

• Scouts are limited to just 2 nomination slots every week (use wisely).

• All successfully nominated posts will be compiled and the "author of the week" announced on Sunday.

• Author of the week receives a $25 SBD gift while the first scout to nominate the author gets a $5 SBD gift.

Did we mention that there could be some other secret rewards for top scouts? You never know :)

Whenever you put on that scout's hat this week, make sure it is to search for top quality.
