He Did It! Some Facts About Kevin Anderson's victory over Roger Federer yesterday!
Federer won the first two sets, and was up 5-4 in the third. Anderson was actually down a match point. And then the turning point came.
At 1 hour and 56 minutes into the match, and at match point for Federer, Anderson hit a hard but rather non-descript forehand approach shot straight to the Federer backhand.
What I like about that approach shot is how he did not give Federer an angle to work with. Something that is quite indispensible when you want to hit a passing shot!
