First, open your Facebook profile and click on the arrow that has the right arrow in the upper right corner.

Then click on the privacy options on the screen.

There you can see 'Who can contact me'. This text will have edit options on the right. Then click on it and replace 'Everyone' with 'Friends of friends' option. This means that friends of your friend who are common friends can only send you friend requests.

There are options below, 'Who Can Look You Up, Using the Email Address You Provided'.
Click on this option to go to the edit option on the right. Here instead of 'Everyone' you have to keep 'Friends of friends' or 'Friends' option.
