RACE BETWEEN THE ROBOTS & HUMANS

Robots have been around for 50 years , painting, handling and performing other diffrent kinds of tasks in harsh environments. But in the last 10 years, robots have emerged and are performing all sorts of lesser but equally valuable tasks.

As we move boldly forward into the 21st century, there has rarely been a more exciting time in which to contemplate the future of space exploration.

The robots haven’t just landed in the workplace—they’re expanding skills, moving up the corporate ladder, showing awesome productivity.

I see the advances happening in technology and it’s becoming evident that computers, machines, robots, and algorithms are going to be able to do most of the routine, repetitive types of jobs.Artificial intelligence now permeates everything from health care to warfare, and could soon make life-and-death decisions for self-driving cars. “Intelligent machines are absorbing the responsibilities we used to have, which is a terrible burden.
The workplace is going to look drastically different ten years from now. The coming of the Second Machine Age is quickly bringing massive changes along with it. Manual jobs, such as lorry driving or house building are being replaced by robotic automation, and accountants, lawyers, doctors and financial advisers are being supplemented and replaced by high level artificial intelligence (AI) systems.

Workers are replaced by machines when it is efficient to do so, resulting in greater output and lower costs.

There is little doubt that the workforce of tomorrow will need a different set of skills in order to know how to navigate a new world of work. Current approaches for preparing young people for the digital economy are based on teaching programming and computational thinking.

It is normal to be concerned about technological changes you don’t comprehend. What worries me the most is when the general population leaps to the wrong conclusion

"Bill Gates suggests that the state put surplus labor to work in social services and education, while Elon Musk argues that “ultimately, we will have to have some kind of universal basic income" to provide for a great mass of permanently unemployed people"

The conclusion is that we must be ready to meet the challenges and what we need globally is a population that is ready for the robotic revolution, ready to be a part of it.
