Google's ambitions are difficult to abate, because now the company is going to build its own city. And if the company has defined the concept of such a town, now they are looking for where to build it.
Alphabet, as the main company of Google, is developing the project from start to finish. Own city, according to the company, is obliged to have in the city an ideal technological environment for residents. The city will collect all the information, right up to the habits of the inhabitants, like transport and pedestrian flows, which will be quite favorable for the environment.
And here we are talking not just about building a mini-town or office, but about creating a surveillance system for residents. Such issues are regulated at the state level and Alphabet is trying to resolve these issues. At the same time, the company believes that such projects do not need government support, since this will reduce the financing of other cities. Thus, they rely only on their own budget. Although another giant, Amazon want to build a campus for 50,000 people and expect for some benefits from the state.
